Lee Miller

It’s that time of year again! Today is Lee Miller’s birthday. She would be 116 years old.

Her life was exceptional. She took risks, refused to conform to the cookie cutter, and she left an amazing body of work that resulted from her bold choices.

She was a muse to our greatest artists like Man Ray and Picasso, influential member of the Surrealists, and prolific war photojournalist and correspondent who paid a heavy price for her devotion to witnessing and capturing the devastation of World War 2.

Lee, with unwavering commitment to her own calling, left an incredible legacy that endures. What a gift to leave behind, inspiring others to adhere to the same commitment: to accept nothing less than their own calling.

Forever my inspiration. Happy birthday Lee!
