Why I Never Give Up …

This is the smile of a woman who never gives up - and whose relentless pursuit of documentation always pays off!

I am perusing a pretty insane stack of correspondence I just discovered. It was sent between former German POWs who were held at Camp Gruber during WWII to their American friends in the years after the war.

This is pure buried-for-decades history in my fingertips, and it sheds so much light on the bigger picture of war and how it effects and changes lives.

I live for this!!

(You can’t see it in the photo but my heart is bursting at the seams!).
