Returning Valor

My work in 2020-2022 with the non-profit organization Purple Hearts Reunited as military researcher and director of operations has helped facilitate the return of 429 items of valor to 100 families. There were a few stories that became personal research projects. When I began to work their cases, my indomitable passion to find answers for families took over and uncovered the details that seemed unfindable.

Top, L to R: SSG Morris Samuelson was killed in action six days after DDay in Normandy. WATCH HIS STORY HERE. PFC Edward Bland was killed in action in March 1945 in Germany. TEC5 Harry Deener of Company I, 242nd Infantry Regiment, 42nd Division was wounded in action in April 1945.

Bottom, L to R: CPL Edward Ryan, PFC William Kane, 1LT Thomas Carr of the 717th Tank Battalion. The fates of these three men will be forever intertwined. You can watch a media story about them HERE. I will be editing together my own film footage captured along the awe-inspiring journey to connect with their families, find the answers to their questions, and bring them together for an incredible reunion.
