Treblinka Extermination Camp, Poland

This video shows a behind the scenes look at the making of my book, The In Between, which documents my 14 day journey through 5 countries.

My itinerary was packed with some of World War Two's most notorious locations, which will all show up in this compilation of artwork, thought processes, photographs, and facts about the places I will venture into, the people I meet along the way, and the soulful excavation that always takes place.

Terezín / Theresienstadt, Czech Republic

This (very) short film is from my footage of the interior of the prison at Terezín, or Theresienstadt as it was called by the Germans.

The prison was used to hold inmates of the Gestapo, who had their headquarters in nearby Prague, among other things.

The ghetto / concentration camp of Terezín sits just down the road.

Gunskirchen Concentration Camp, Austria

Gunskirchen is a sub-camp of Mauthausen.

Latvia and The Forest . June, 2017

There are a hundred thousand soldiers still missing in Latvia from the two world wars.

Every year, people gather as the group Legenda to search for and recover the lost.

In June 2017, I was one of them.

Life, Uncensored . WW2 Artwork

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m obsessed with humans and our stories, passionate about finding the common threads we all share.

The Wehrmacht (German armed forces) buttons I stitch into this piece were dug out of the earth after seven long decades spent hidden in dirt. They are part of my massive collection of wartime relics, photos, and documents.

To find out more about my work with Legenda and the missing soldiers, read my book: The In Between.
