I spent just a few short hours in Dresden, and my imagination was ignited by what is no longer see-able in this city.

Among the highlights were the objects in the museum, including a painting damaged by a Red Army soldier and a typewriter that somewhat survived the horrendous bombing of the city.

On the way back to the Czech Republic, I passed through the Sudetenland in a hurry - I had a flight to catch.

I will return to the rebuilt city and the indescribably beautiful - and historically rich - countryside surrounding it.
